Bake!

My first attempted at baking bread, there's room for improvement as it looked great but was a little bit heavy. Better toasted and dunked in soup.

I followed Rachel Allen's recipe for white yeast bread from her Bake! series. Takes ages but worth it, think I just need a bit more effort in the kneading department.

Psychedelic Spaghetti

Sapori Antichi Pasta comes in a variety of shapes and colours. Even though the colour combination's look chemically enhanced they are in fact all naturally derived.

The only warning is make sure your sauce doesn't clash.

Foody Faces

It was during this very bottle at 1709 of wine that we decided that due to the fact our friendship is based mainly around food, whether that be planning it, eating it, talking about it or just simple enjoying it, that creating a food blog would be the perfect way to remember the great eats we've enjoyed together and those we wish we could of shared.

Due to the amount of wine consumed the name came later. Oh and the wine was very nice, we recommend it :-)

Afternoon Tea

Today me and Jade visited Netherstowe House for a champagne afternoon tea. The beautifully decorated grade II listed house along with the amazing service made this hotel a sanctuary from the outside world, it was like travelling back in time.

Being the only two people in the room meant that for a while at least we could pretend it was actually our dining room.

When our cake stand of goodies arrived it didn't disappoint either, sandwiches without crusts and an array of sweets plus scones with jam and cream means we probably came out a stone heavier but a lot happier.
